What is it?

The Healthy Active Ambassadors Program is an initiative of the Australian Government, funded under the Australian Better Health Initiative: A joint Australian, State and Territory government initiative. The program was announced in July 2006 and will run for two years.

The program aims to raise awareness among Australians of the importance of healthy living and particularly maintaining healthy body weight. It will target all Australians, with a particular focus on youth.

Who are the ambassadors?

Well-known people who live active and healthy lives have been invited to become official “Ambassadors”, promoting the benefits of healthy life choices to the community.
